The food was outstanding — fresh, flavourful, and beautifully presented. Every dish was prepared with care, and you can really taste the quality of the ingredients. The portions were also satisfying, which made the experience even better. The service was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and professional, making sure we were comfortable throughout our visit. It’s always refreshing to receive such warm and efficient service. The drinks were also amazing and complemented the meal perfectly. Everything was well-prepared and refreshing.
I cannot recommend this place enough. The food is simply amazing
It's a roadhouse type a vibe and do drive in and they come to you to take your order in the car then bring it to you. The food is freshly prepared while you wait which can take a bit but worth waiting for. I had Jozi Kota, rib Kota and my daughter enjoyed the beef schwarma. Lekker food.

I like the Jozi kota but I don’t like that they add a pool of chip sauce “ONLY”. We don’t have to experience the sauces we’re used to on a normal kota such as tomato sauce, bbq sauce, chilli sauce, the kota was yummy but the pool of chip sauce ruined the whole taste for me. The wings didn’t taste fresh. It was my first time buying from them.

The good ole’ roadhouse experience is definitely still alive. It’s always good to stop over when I’m near the Edenvale branch.
Here in a Saturday at 1:30 and we were pleasantly surprised how quick and delicious !! The Shawarma sandwich was huge, the hake fish my husband got was flaky and delicious, and the chicken nugget basket my daughter got was crispy and juicy. The milkshake was great as well as the Pina colada crusher. Overall we enjoyed it more than other burger places- for the variety, freshness and size. New favorite for when we’re in town!!

The portion sizes are big so although it looks expensive, you really get value for money in the food you receive. They do not hold back, they give enough chocolate sauce in the ice cream, enough filling in the Kota. No bite is dry or lacking of deliciousness.

As a family of 4, we always love coming to Kota Joe. The food is always amazing, and the portion sizes are definitely worth it. The staff are always so friendly and we never wait long for our food. I would pick Kota Joe any day over a fancy restaurant.
