Kota Joe's is a overall good experience. We enjoyed it, the pirce however isnt justified.I was a bit disappointed with the flavour of the milkshakes, I expect more for the price. The food was fantastic and the kids loved the road house experience.
Venue, cleanliness and atmosphere absolutely lovely. Food is not so up my ally. Service 1 🌟. Took over an hour to get our food and absent waiter. Won't go back.

My experience here was a bit of a mixed bag. The music was a little too low and repetitive, which didn't really set a great atmosphere. Our server was friendly, but we had to wait a long time to be served. She did give my kids balloons, which was a nice gesture even though we didn't order kids' meals.
The food was definitely the highlight—it was absolutely delicious. However, it was quite overpriced for what it was. We waited over 40 minutes for a toasted ham and cheese sandwich and chips on a quiet Wednesday night. The long wait was a bit puzzling since the restaurant wasn't busy at all.

It's a good place to enjoy a great made Kota. Good for dates too. I love the idea of ordering from your vehicle and not having to queue and cramp the place.
Tkay was our waiter, enjoyed his service and authenticity, the food was awesome enjoyed everything. Stuff members keep on checking on us to make sure we are okay best service!

Mmmmm the shakes are so delicious, it's even confusing which flavour to get - because they are all just too delicious. The Kota's WOW great movie night meals or drive through or sit-in. You will be very filled, from anything you order.
It is a nice establishment. The service is quick and very friendly. The menu is unique and everything tastes delicious and has beautiful presentation. I would definitely recommend that they add better shading in the seating area because even though there are umbrellas we were still burning in the sun.
Oh my word, possibly the best roadhouse in SA. There are many restaurants in PTA that could learn from Kota Joe as to how to flavour pack their dishes. From the divine Ferrero Rocher choc mousse milkshake to the superb chilli cheese steak kota, what a flavour experience. Definitely worth the distance we travelled for the amazing service & tasty food. Thank you ☺️
Screw the diet. Their milkshakes are to die for and I cannot go to KJ without ordering a milkshake!!
Gotten more expensive for my favourite item on the menu but still a great place to visit. The Jozi is the best.

I was blown away by André' s awesome service,orders were quick, food hot... It didn't matter that we got there 20 minutes before closing time (10:00p.m) ... My boys enjoyed your service and suggestions... They say you're the coolest Malume 'uncle"... It was worth the drive. May God bless you abundantly and continue to serve effortlessly.
They have the best milkshakes I ever had. The service was amazing. The food was tasty the setting was perfect. I 100% recommend the place and I will definitely come back.
Great food and friendly staff. The outdoor seating arrangement gives a great relaxing atmosphere and even though it is relatively busy, it does not feel congested. I have enjoyed each of my visits there!

Great place to eat. Delicious food (depending on what you order and your preferences).Longer waiting time, especially when it’s full. Not enough parking for people who want to dine inside (why it’s called roadhouse I guess). Great milkshakes!

Since the start when joe's opened in wonderboom this place has been a crowd attraction for young , old and school goers alike.

Service is usually epic and energic on a bad day so you can expect great service all round.
Overall: whether it's a late Sunday trip or a early brunch, Kota Joes got you. Best shakes under the mountain with the vibes to match.

More on the pricier side but the quality of food is good so can't complain too much.
What a great atmosphere and experience. The food and services is excellent and you definitely get what you pay for. Our waiter Zanele, was also super friendly and did a great job. Will see you again soon for the rest. They are the Kota Kings!

For a 1st timer you would not know which lanes are for eating in or for take aways. If there were signages it would be so much better

The food was really good , had a Jozi and my husband had the rib and wing combo . The double thick milkshakes are def a HIT.

This is such a beautiful restaurant for a chilled day. Love the ‘park- thru’ if I may call it🙈😂The staff is definitely wonderful, delicious and catchy food and drinks menu. When you here you literally want to order everything on their menu😂😂❤️
Kota Joe is my favorite spot! My boyfriend and I go there weekly, and the service is always great with friendly waiters who make us feel right at home. Their cheesy bacon-loaded fries are out of this world, and I never seem to get tired of it. No matter how many times we visit, it’s always the highlight of our week!
Milkshakes were nice and size big. Ice cream was nice but not much flavour with the ferro Roche. Areo mint shake was chocolatety but not much mint. The rest was nice. The rib Kota was very nice, fresh and hot.

We stopped by for dessert at this place over the weekend, but in hindsight, we should have ordered in lunch too; their food was simply irresistible. The staff, including the waitrons, were exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Although it was our inaugural visit to a roadhouse, we opted to dine in rather than eat from the car. Their milkshakes are an absolute must-try; I can't recommend them enough. If there's one improvement I'd suggest, it would be enhancing the indoor seating area, particularly for families with kids. Nevertheless, I'm eager to revisit without a doubt.

It appears cosy but it doesn’t have a nice seating structure. The nice view doesn’t have enough shades. It’s more convenient for drive in service as you will be in the comfort of your car.
Tried this place for the first time yesterday. I love the vibe.
The food is really something else, flavor profiles and attention to details. I had the chillie cheese and bacon burger which blew me away. The red chillie gave it the heat I never knew it needed. I cooled that down with their pinacolada crusher which really hit the spot.
Overall a great experience, I would highly recommend this for date night.

Saw the place while passing by and thought it looks like a great place to eat. What's gonna beat getting one nice KOTA in Wonderboom? Plus, it's not like anyone could really mess up the recipe of something as simple and widespread as a KOTA right? Right?! 😬

The "KOTA" I got (refer to pictures show) is more of a stuffed burger 🍔 than anything else. Don't get me wrong, it tasted fine, but, the presentation is quite horrible. It doesn't use KOTA bread but something looking like an oversized hotdog 🌭 bun stuffed with dripping mustard sauce, a bacon, few chips, some chicken strips, and non-fresh salad veggies. And what's more insulting, it costs R99!
The atmosphere is however nice and I had fun sitting there while not enjoying my meal.
