Milkshakes were good, food was not great, we order pizza and cheesy garlic chips
Was nice, service was good, food was good and good vibe, will keep going back
Had a raw chicken prego Kota. Phoned Lucky the manager he said sorry I must come back they will make another one. I told him why must I drive back they need to bring me a new order. He said sorry we can't do that... He did not even ask where I am situated, I work barely 2km away from them.
Just to add since my review above I did email head office they gave me the same generic message as the below and asked for my contact details. I gave it to them. I'm yet to receive a phone call. They don't care about the service they give, they just pretend

My food got cold quickly as my table was in direct attack 😭 of a fast blowing fan
Great food with a variety of options for both drinks and food. The waiters are super friendly.
Got to the road house but still closed the owner came out and offered me a cup of coffee on the house where do you get such sevice but kota Joe's many thanks always make a stop when in the east rand highly recommend
This place has a owner who is passionate about their business, you see it in the way the place is kept, the little funny messages and great staff and fast service. Makes us remember the original roadhouses
Such a cool drive in restaurant with the best milkshakes on earth! I had the zoo biscuit milkshake and it was incredible! Come to Cape Town will ya??

We arrived just before they opened. The place was very neat and clean. The service was great too. I’m currently fasting, so I needed vegetarian options, they were able to assist by replacing the patty in the kota to a veg one. I highly recommend this place. The milkshakes they have are pretty good as well.
Really good food. Super busy so be prepared to have a milkshake while you wait. But food is fresh and tasty.
The food is very nice! You get a lot for what you paid for, not your typical Kota/Spatla that you'll buy at a vendor, but specialised enough to definitely come back!

It’s always a vibe when we come here. The staff are amazing, the music is great and they have fun videos playing on the screen. The food is also great. I’d most definitely recommend this place to anyone.

I actually arrived there 5 minutes before they closed. I was then turned away by one of their patrons, but luckily the manager there was around and insisted it's not yet time to go home and they should prepare my order. I got the menu and ordered. For that I am grateful cauz Kota Joe was really my one and only hope to get some dinner

The concept of eating in the car with a nice big screen makes it feel like a proper road house, the food was very good, the milkshakes were beyond from many other places I have tried they really are top tier and service is quick and friendly. The area is clean and well kept.
Food is good quality and well priced, with a lot of different options on the menu. The service is good too, not a long wait at all.
I'm a long-term customer, but sadly, today was a little bit of a disappointment. A family of 5 who sat-in I expected my usual awesome experience. My Dad and I ordered burgers, and was given literally 6-10 chips each. I complained but the waiter scoffed and did nothing. The Crumbed Burger comes with coleslaw, but no coleslaw. Again, the waiter did nothing. Look, the milkshakes were fantastic, so at least that put a smile on my face. I'm a creature of habit, and I LOVE consistency. Sadly I will no more be buying food from Kota Joe. But milkshakes, I can highly recommend 👌.
We visited Kota Joe in Edendvale one afternoon without a booking, and they welcomed us right in. They offered us the choice of sitting on the first or second floor, so we picked the top for a better view and atmosphere.
While waiting to order, I asked for a Sprite, but it tasted a bit off – I'd give it a 2/5. For my meal, I went with the ribs and wings basket combo, which was delicious and definitely a 5/5! The only downside was that it got cold quickly because a fan was blowing right on me, and there’s no air conditioning, but that didn’t bother me too much.
My girlfriend ordered a grilled bacon burger, which she gave a rare 5/5! She’s usually tough to impress, so that says a lot. She also ordered a passion fruit crusher, which she enjoyed – 4/5 for that.
The service was good overall, and our food didn’t take long to arrive – I’d give the service a 4/5, though there’s room for a bit more improvement.

The food is absolutely amazing and the vibe is incredible, The prices are a bit stiff but it's definitely worth it.
I loved their Kota, the service was good as well, they made sure we had parking as we wanted to dine there. The waiters attended to us very fast, l. The food was a bit pricey but I guess you pay for the experience. Overall experience we really enjoyed with my wife.
We enjoyed the meals, but I ordered cold drink to come first before the meals as I was thirsty but it took longer to come.
The concept of ordering from the comfort of your car is interesting however the waiting period of around 20-30min for a meal is rather long and tiring and makes one think twice about coming to buy food here.

I watched memes, a street brawl, hijacking and a police chase in a single night. I love Edenvale
The food is always impeccable. It's true what they say, Screw The Diet. The milkshakes (specifically Lotus Biscoff, Bar One, Peppermint Oreo) are our favorites. Waited a bit long (35mins) for my food but it was quite busy so I get it. We will be back!
A different way to experience a kota in terms of taste and style and price. It was definitely worth driving 30+ kilometers for it!
The aesthetics we're amazing and the food was really good and well prepared. My only problem was the service, I was handed a menu and left to figure out the seating plan, while the people behind me were accompanied to their seats and their orders taken promptly. I had to ask to be served as the waiters just kept on walking past me without checking if I was ready to order. This was really disheartening and hope it'll be corrected
Took a bit of time to get our food, but was not disappointed. All the food was cooked perfectly, and super tasty. Will def come back again and try other stuff in the menu. The wings were saucy and crispy. The kota could do with a bit more chips though.

Took a friend here to visit again because previously it was good.
Was dissatisfied this time, ordered the Jozi Kota cut into 2. One piece had a bit of polony and the other had none.
The Russian was super tough that the knives provided couldn’t even cut through the skin.
Don’t think I will be coming back any time soon.

Just needed something to eat. Great food and value for money. A slight delay in getting the menus, but all okay when received food.
Had the pleasure of finally experiencing a meal at Kota Joe Edenvale. The assistance and service received from Ishmael was top notch. Food was delicious with generous portions. It was worth the drive and just loved the vibe with the music and energy from everyone.

Every thing was ok except there is a part of the restaurant where the sun hits so bad that side has no shutters 🥵😥
I absolutely loved every moment. I was greeted by friendly helpful staff. Showed to a table. The menu has everything for everyone. Every dish is well described. Great variety for every taste 👌. I had the Classic Burger with chips. It was delicious, I ate everything, my plate was eaten clean. Drank a cuppachino, it was hot and creamy, njamm.
I stay 40min drive from Kota Joe Edenvale. But that will be a drive worth it.

It is amazing, good for winter since you don’t have to get out of the car to order/collect. It is also great for kids, my son was excited when they gave him a balloon, friendly staff not to mention the food🤤👌🏾🔥
It was unreal to get visit a kota joint this fancy and with kota's tasting like they were made by 5 star chefs it was delicious 🥹♥️

Best Milkshakes by far..... Really Great tasting food.. Have the option to sit in, take away or just eat in your car. Really convenient as the waiters come to you as you drive in. Nice atmosphere, with music playing and a big screen to entertain you whilst you wait.
I should have came hungry. The food was a lot. Had Cheesy Beef Pastrami Kota, my partner had Jozi Kota. Had dessert with was more enjoyable than the kota. Would not recommend a take away, a sit down and eat is better as the food doesn't get soggy. Cannot recommend the dishes i orders. Will come back again to try other dishes.
